How the numbers are checked
Core cost figures, traceable to their sources.
Decision-relevant figures link to their stated source and carry the date we last checked them. Archived links appear only where a snapshot is actually available.
The method
How we verify.
Three rules, applied to every rand amount, percentage and capability claim the site publishes.
The provider's own page wins
- A rate is read off the pricing page the provider itself publishes, never off an aggregator, a review site or a search snippet.
- Where a figure lives off the rate card (Yoco's online rates exist only in its help centre), it wears the weaker help-centre stamp rather than borrowing the Verified badge.
- A figure nobody publishes is shown as a visible gap. PayU has no rates on this site because PayU publishes none.
Quarterly re-verification
- Our target interval for core fee and capability data is quarterly, with earlier review after a reported change. A date changes only after an actual editorial check.
- A stamp past its re-verification interval desaturates on the page rather than quietly staying green.
- Corrections sent to corrections@ jump the queue: a reader who catches a stale rate restamps it for everyone.
Dated, and archived
- Each figure in the structured fee and capability models carries the date it was last checked, down to the day, in its citation popover.
- A snapshot job attempts to preserve source pages. Archive coverage is not complete and failures do not become invisible proof.
- The register below lists each source used by the structured fee, capability and regulatory records once, with a live link and an archived link only where one was captured. Contextual prose sources remain linked on the page where they are used.

Structured fee, capability and regulatory citations declare what kind of place their figure was read from. Contextual prose uses direct links on its own page.

Source type and confidence are different axes: type says who publishes the page, confidence says how strong our reading of it is. Yoco's online rates are official in type, its own domain, yet help-centre in confidence, because they live in its support article rather than on its rate card.

20 source URLs stand behind the site's structured fee, capability and regulatory records, listed here exactly once with the latest date each was checked. Archived copies appear here as the quarterly snapshot job captures them.
