One question drives this site: what actually reaches your account? Here's who checks the figures, how we check them, and how we make money without selling rankings.
Payment Service Providers ZA is an independent register of payment gateway fees for South African businesses, published at paymentserviceproviders.co.za and built and run by Lidema Studios, a South African web and software studio. It covers the gateways an SA-registered business can actually use: PayFast, Yoco, Peach Payments, Ozow, Paystack, Stitch, iKhokha and PayU, alongside the cross-border options for selling abroad. Every fee is read off the provider's own pricing page, carries the month it was verified, and is recomputed into an effective rate by one shared fee engine, so the calculator, the comparison table and each provider profile cannot disagree. No provider pays for placement, and no ranking is for sale.
Provider names identify the subjects reviewed. Provider-profile plates are AI-assisted editorial illustrations created for this publication, not provider logos, screenshots or endorsements. They were visually checked for embedded names, marks and stray generated text.
How this works
Verified, independent, correctable.
How fees are verified
- Structured fee figures use the provider's own pricing or help-centre page and identify the source used.
- Our target review interval is quarterly; each structured figure shows its actual verification date.
- Where a provider hides its pricing, we say so on the page rather than infer a number.
What we never do
- No pay-to-rank. Nothing in a table or ranking can be bought.
- No provider sponsorships or paid placements currently run. Any future paid material must be clearly labelled before publication.
- No provider owns us, and no provider gets a say in how it is rated.
Corrections jump the queue

- We fix it, re-check it against the source, and restamp it with a fresh date.
How the site is funded
No provider pays for placement or ranking.
Payment Service Providers is an editorial comparison publication operated and funded by Lidema Studios (Pty) Ltd. No payment provider currently pays for inclusion, ranking, links, leads or referrals, and we receive no affiliate commission. Rankings use the stated model and inputs rather than a commercial arrangement.
If a commercial relationship begins, we will disclose it here and next to every affected link or placement before it can influence a reader. A paid placement will remain visibly separate from editorial rankings.
The Lidema Studios band above the footer is a house advertisement by the company that operates this site. It is labelled on every page, sits outside the comparison and has no effect on provider selection, calculations, rankings or editorial conclusions.
