One question drives this site: what actually reaches your account? Here's who checks the figures, how we check them, and how we make money without selling rankings.
Payment Service Providers ZA is an independent register of payment gateway fees for South African businesses, published at paymentserviceproviders.co.za and built and run by Lidema Studios, a South African web and software studio. It covers the gateways an SA-registered business can actually use: PayFast, Yoco, Peach Payments, Ozow, Paystack, Stitch, iKhokha and PayU, alongside the cross-border options for selling abroad. Every fee is read off the provider's own pricing page, carries the month it was verified, and is recomputed into an effective rate by one shared fee engine, so the calculator, the comparison table and each provider profile cannot disagree. No provider pays for placement, and no ranking is for sale.
How this works

How fees are verified
- Every figure is read off the provider's own pricing page, which wins over any aggregator or blog.
- We re-check the whole site each quarter, and stamp every figure with the month we verified it.
- Where a provider hides its pricing, we say so on the page rather than infer a number.
What we never do
- No pay-to-rank. Nothing in a table or ranking can be bought.
- No unlabelled sponsorships. Any paid placement wears the gold Sponsored badge.
- No provider owns us, and no provider gets a say in how it is rated.
Corrections jump the queue
- Spotted a wrong or stale figure? Email corrections@paymentserviceproviders.co.za.
- We fix it, re-check it against the source, and restamp it with a fresh date.
How the site earns
Paid for by links, never by rankings.
Independence only means something if the money is honest, so here is exactly how this site earns. Some outbound links to providers are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you sign up through them. Those links are always marked inline, and they never change a provider's position in a table or a ranking. The ranking is computed from the same fee engine for everyone.
We also accept sponsored placements, and when we do they carry the gold Sponsored badge every time, per the ARB Code of Advertising Practice, Section IV. A sponsorship buys visibility and a label that says so. It never buys a better rating, a softer watch-out, or a place it did not earn on the numbers.
There is one advert on this site and it is our own. Lidema Studios builds and runs paymentserviceproviders.co.za, and the band above the footer sells its web and software work. It carries the same Advertisement label on every page, it sits outside the comparison entirely, and no provider can buy that slot at any price.
