The tool nobody else built
Headline rates lie. Effective rates don't.
Set your numbers. We add up everything a provider quietly takes per R100, processing, fixed fees, payout fees, refund losses and chargeback risk, then rank them by what actually reaches your account.

ozow.com/pricingProcessing fee, in full
R150 000 ÷ R650 = 230.8 transactions, each charged 1.50% = R9,75 × 1.15 VAT.
Payout fee, in full
R3,00 a payout run × 4 runs a month × 1.15 VAT.
Refund losses, in full
3% of 230.8 transactions = 6.9 refunds. On each, the original R9,75 fee is not returned, plus R3,00 to process each refund × 1.15 VAT.
Chargeback provision, in full
A bank rail cannot be charged back, so nothing is provisioned.
Where Ozow pay-by-bank's R2 703 a month goes
An illustrative model built from published fee structures (incl 15% VAT): headline rates, fixed per-transaction fees, minimums, payout fees, and refund losses where the provider keeps the original processing fee. The card-rail chargeback line provisions R120 per chargeback, which is an editorial assumption, not a published figure: no provider on this site publishes a chargeback penalty amount, and bank rails carry none. Paystack's figures come from its help centre, not its rate card, so anything it touches carries lower confidence. Verify every figure against the provider before relying on it.
